Everett Shell is a native Texan, and has lived in the DFW majority of his life. His family moved to Texas from Arkansas in the early 1980’s, where he was born in Lewisville, TX. He is the youngest of five siblings.
“I loved growing up in a big family with all the fun and crazy family gatherings that we had throughout the years. There was always something going on and happening…never a dull moment around the house. These early years I feel have contributed to my value for the home and family.”
Everett has been in the real estate industry since 2011, but found an early interest in real estate during his teenage years. When in high school, Shell worked with his parents on building their custom home from finding the builder and the lot, to designing the floor plan.
He graduated from Forney High School in 2005, and that summer attended Richland Community College, attaining his associates degree. He taught dance and worked in retail throughout community college. He later transferred to Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, and received his bachelors in communications/journalism. He completed his internship at ABC 4 News – Salt Lake City, but decided his heart was not in the journalism industry.
“I have always been a true believer to do what you enjoy and are passionate about; no matter how little the pay or how hard it may be. Life is too short not to do the things you love.”
Shell’s last year at BYU, he had the blessing of meeting his beautiful wife, another proud Texan. They soon got engaged after dating a few months. Shortly after graduation, they moved back to the Big D, where both of their families were at and got married. They have been married for twelve years and have two adorable boys. Shell is currently active in regular church attendance, and serves the youth as a Sunday school teacher.
Shortly after moving back to the DFW area as newlyweds, Everett was hired at a mortgage company, called Nation Star Mortgage. He was a loan counselor, and received the Summit Award for highest achievements. He later left the mortgage industry to become a personal banker at Wells Fargo Bank. He received many awards and prior to leaving the banking industry, he was offered a promotion of licensed banker due to his productivity. Everett practiced real estate in the evenings after work, his days off, and weekends until he could go full-time. Shell had a client who purchased a luxury home in the gorgeous community of Lakewood in Dallas, and he was able to leave the bank to become a full-time real estate agent.
Shell has made it his goal to have a real estate brokerage that their clients’ feel confident and satisfied from the services, technology, and support they receive from the brokerage and its agents.
“My work and business is a reflection of who I am, and associated with my name, therefore, my work ethic is based upon providing an honest and professional experience, that I can take pride in what I do. In my eleven years in the real estate industry, I have found that this has been key in producing satisfied clients, who often refer me to others, or have used me multiple times for their real estate needs.”
